Resurrection

Yesterday, I mentioned to Ellie that I was considering growing out my mullet. This is an account of her very entertaining and immediate response.

"Hey Ellie, I'm thinking about growing out my mullet. What do you think?

"No."

Though her logic was forth coming and her reasoning flawless, I had to further question,

"Why not?"

Without hesitation, Ellie went on to explain:

"Mullets are sacrilegious. It is wrong for you to grow your hair out in that fashion."

I laughed.
She didn't.
She was serious.
She continued...

"Mullets are a living thing. A living breathing organism that perches itself on the back of a person's neck. Teddy, like it or not, about twenty years ago this "organism" died. Actually...no...It didn't just die; it was crucified. Its last moments were grueling and horrific and its crucifixion was completely justified. To try and resurrect this "thing" that praise God is dead, is an effort to thwart the efforts of Christ, and distract from the resurrection of our Lord and savior."

I laughed again.
Her reasoning is flawless indeed.

Too bad for Ellie.
This is what I could have looked like.
Passionate and Mulleted.

I can feel Ellie changing her mind right now.
